Oftest marinere jeg den i kærnemælk, det giver den en let syrligt smag og en fløjl agtig udseende. Men den er ligeså god, marineret i yoghurt også.
Hjemme hos os spiser vi kyllingen sammen med yoghurt chutney og forskellige grønsager.
Well, its not the kind that lays golden egg, but almost as goods as that. I only use curry powder in 3 dishes. this Golden Hen is one of them. You have to use a lot of curry powder to get this beautiful golden colour. I have cheated a bit and photoshopped, I could´nt get the real colour in the photo due to not enough light. If you are worried about it getting to hot, you can use a mild curry powder and avoid chilli. This recipe is inspired from a tv chef many years ago, maybe Delia Smith?
Most of the time I marinate it in buttermilk, wich gives it a tangy taste and a velvety look.. But it tastes just as good marinated in yoghurt.
With this chicken I make yoghurt chutney and oven roasted vegetable,.
Ingredienser:
1½ kg kylling stykker ( lår, overlår ) uden skind. / 1½ kg chicken pieces with out skin.
3 dl yoghurt eller kærnemælk/ 3 dl yoghurt or buttermilk
2- 3 spsk karry pulver / 2-3 tbsp curry powder
½ tsk chili pulver / ½ tsp chili powder
salt efter smag/ salt after your choise
2-4 grøn chili fint hakket / 2-4 green fresh green chili chopped
1 spsk olie + lidt ekstra / 1 tbs oil + little ekstra
½-1 tsk ingefær pureret / ½-1 tsp ginger pure
lidt frisk koriander frisk hakket / some fresh coriander, chopped.
citron saft , hvis man mariner i kærnemælk, skal man ikke bruge citron saft. / lemon juice. I fyou are marinating in buttermilk dont use lemon juice.
1. Lav overfladisk snitter i kyllingen og gnid med citron saft og ingefær. Lad den hvile en kvarter i kølskabet.
1. Make cuts with a knife in the chicken pieces. Rub the chicken with lemon juice and ginger, let it rest in the fridge 15 minuts
2. I en skål bland alle krydderierne , olie og den friske chili sammen med yoghurten/ kærnemælket. Tilsæt kyllingen og bland godt. Mariner kylling mindst 2 timer overdækket i kølskabet.
3. Forvarm ovn til 250 grader. Læg kyllingen spredt i en ovn fast fad sammen med al marinaden, dæk fadet med folie. Steg kyllingen i ovnen ca 45 minutter - 1 time, vend undervejs. kyllingen skal være saftig og mør. Når der mangler ca 10-8 minutter fjernes folien og kyllingen pensles med lidt olie. Læg kylling tilbage i ovn, steg den den resterende tid.
2. Mix alt he spices,oil and the fresh chili with yoghurt or buttermilk in a big bowl. Add the chicken and mix wel. Cover the bowl and refridgerate for a least to hours. You can also let it marinate overnigth and roast next day.
3. preheat the oven to 250 degree Celcius. Place the chicken pieces one layer in a oven proof dish with all the marinaton. Cover with foil and roast for 45 - 1 hour. Chicken should be moist and tender. When 10-8 minuts remains, remove the foil and brush the chicken pieces with oil. Let it roast for the remaining time.

Ingredienser / ingrediens
400 gr ny baby kartofler, skåret i halve stykker / 400 gr new baby potaoes, cut in halfes
400 gr butternut squash, skåret i samme størrelse som kartofler / 400 gr butternut squash cut same size as the potaoes.
1 spsk olie / 1tbsp oil
1 tsk chili pulver / 1 tsp chili powder
1 tsk spids kommen / 1 tsp cumin seeds
salt efter smag / salt to taste
lidt revet muskat nød / grated nutmeg.
Bland olien med al krydderierne, undtagen muskat nød. Gnid grønsagerne i krydderi olien og steg dem i ovn 40 minutter eller til de sprøde og gennemstegt. Drys med revet muskat nød inden servering.
Mix oil with the spices, except nutmeg. Rub the veggeis with the spiced oil and roast them in the oven for 40 minuts or til they are crsipy and baked. Sprinkle some freshly grated nutmeg.
